Doosan has differentiated itself in the Indian power market by delivering sophisticated power solutions at competitive prices and successfully meeting project’s milestones.

Doosan has undertaken key projects in India since 1994 across the entire ambit of conventional power generation sector such as Coal & Gas fired power plants, R&M Services and various main equipment supplies. Doosan Power Systems India is executing projects with NTPC, UPRVUNL, JVUNL, GMR etc. and EERM/ Life extension with Torrent Power, WBPDCL etc. With strong synergies prevailing across the entire Doosan group organizations to focus on the Indian power market, Doosan Power Systems India has positioned itself strongly as a highly competent EPC player in the Indian market. This is demonstrated by two successive EPC project awards of UPRVUNL’s USC technology based Obra C (2×660MW) and JVUNL’s Jawaharpur (2×660MW).

So far, Doosan has successfully commissioned more than 10 Super-critical boilers in India, while 13 Super-critical/ Ultra Super-critical boilers currently under construction, which is amongst one of the highest in the Indian power market incumbents. Doosan Power Systems India is well poised for a multi-fold growth, as a major domestic player in the power sector and achieve sustainable business growth.

Doosan has been the pioneer in bringing state-of-the-art technology to India and has left indelible footprints on the Indian Power sector.

Doosan Power Systems India is offering turnkey EPC Solutions for Coal-fired Power Plants based upon its in-house strengths in Engineering of EPC projects including AQCS solutions, Manufacturing of SC/ USC boilers, and well experienced Project Management professionals. Unhindered technology access, along with Doosan Power business group’s synergies, fully complements Doosan Power Systems India’s indigenous expertise across the power generation value chain.

Doosan has many accomplishments in its illustrious journey in India. NTPC’s Sipat (3x660MW) was the first awarded Supercritical project in India. Successful completion of one of the world’s largest 4,000MW Coal-fired UMPP for Tata Power was another momentous accomplishment. NTPC‘s Kudgi & Lara (5x800MW) projects were awarded to Doosan Power Systems India as an outcome of successful bidding in fiercely competitive Bulk Tendering. Consecutive awards of full EPC contracts of UPRVUNL’s Obra C (2×660MW) and JVUNL’s Jawaharpur (2×660MW), including FGD & SCR is a testimony to the strengths & capabilities of Doosan Power Systems India.
